Me and My Butt

That is what I should have named this blog. I have recently nicknamed Spencer, Butt. I say this with great affection. Spencer is a "butt" for many reasons. I have never come across a more stubborn child or one that changes from raging mad (and throwing the most funny fits) to laughing and shouting his joy that I put in his favorite movie. He can do this faster than I can blink! You never have to guess how he is feeling. He is also a butt because no matter what he does that is naughty, he finds a way to make you forget it in a New York minute. He will kiss me or look at me and say, "Right now" in the cutest voice possible and he is instantly forgiven. He says right now because that is what I say when he isn't listening to what I am asking him. I can say this a minimum of 10 times when I want him to come into his room to change his diaper. He ignores me until the time is right for "him" to come into the room. One time he was ignoring me and I said "Spencer!", in the sternest voice I could muster and he looks and me and says, "Right now!". Of course I laughed until I cried.

The biggest offense to date happened last night. Spencer is often restless and can have a hard time falling asleep at night. I will go in his room and sing him a few lullabies to help calm his mood. I am tone deaf and know this but Spencer has never minded and to my great amusement, loves it when I sing. Last night I went in and started singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The big butt started giggling and giggled through the whole song! For shame! I tried not to laugh myself but towards the end I couldn't hold back and giggled right along with him.

Now you know the rest of the story...

LOL! I had a good chuckle over the "right now". In our house, I use just "NOW!" I didn't realize how much I said it until I heard the girls barking out orders to each other that were accompanied by a stern "NOW MADDIE/LEXI!"

I love his pjs! He's just so ding dang adorable!

I'm sorry to have vanished. My site is under construction and I've been dealing with that and so -- swamped.

Blessings!
Lacy

Brandy, that is classic! You can't help but laugh when that happens.

I saw your sight is changing, Lacy, I like the larger layout I saw when on there earlier today. I hope things calm down for you soon. Deep breaths, deep breaths and here's a few hugs too!

Tanya, Spencer got his buzz cut for summer. I used to not want him to have one because he shunt stuck out so much more but he gets too warm and looks so darn cute with it that I finally gave in.
