Macaroni and Cheese with Kielbasa
This will not replace your homemade macaroni and cheese recipe. It can, however, be a great alternative on those days where time is a factor and you still want your family to have a good, warm meal.
Ingredients:
1 box (family size or 14.5 oz) macaroni and cheese
1 lb. Kielbasa, sliced
1 can (20 oz) cream of chicken soup
2/3 cups milk
2 1/2 cups mild cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
salt and pepper to taste
Prepare box macaroni and cheese according to directions.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine sausage, prepared macaroni and cheese, cream of chicken soup, milk and 2 cups of cheddar cheese. Mix well.
Transfer to greased casserole dish.
Top with remaining cheese, salt and pepper.
Bake for 30 minutes or until top is a light golden brown.

Yum! That looks really yummy, especially now that the weather is getting colder. I also love the pictures of your family on the sidebar--both with mouths open! Lol! :-) --Christine from whywelovegreen.blogspot.com
I cannot tell you how much I love kielbasa and I never thought of putting it in macaroni. This is making me hungry!
Sounds really good I'll have to try it!
This looks delicious! Definitely something I'm going to try. Thanks for the recipe =) Visiting from Bloggers Village!
I love this! I do something very similar with smoked turkey sausage. I also add onions, garlic, and peppers. So nice with the weather getting cooler. I had never thought about adding the cream of chicken soup. Great tip! Thanks!

Christine, now that you mention it, that is absolutely hilarious!
Thank you all for the comments and Crystal I am going to add onions and garlic next time. My guys won't eat peppers though. Great ideas!
