Camera Critters - Dragonfly

Dragonflies fascinate me. They are amazing in not only their beauty but the fact that every culture has some symbolism behind their ability to adapt to their surroundings, their speed (dragonflies can fly up to 90 miles an hour and stop within just a few seconds from that great speed), to their short but meaningful life.

I was told as a child that if a dragonfly lands on you, it would bring you good luck. Even as an adult, if one is close by, I will stand as still as I can, hoping to be graced by one. Were you ever told the same "myth"?

Never heard that before but I've always felt blessed when one lights upon me.

Sweet shot.

Love the pics, especially the dragonfly and the frogs! Someone really knows how to take a picture. Mine come out all blurry or someone's head is cut off! I am a new follower of your blog thru GFC and would love a follow back when you get a chance. Thanks so much and have a great day!
